Emmi Cafe Latte : Love Island
Love Island is one of THE yearly cultural TV occasions that, love it or hate it, is always guaranteed to get people talking.
Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE’s partnership with the show for 2022 was a match made in Mallorca, with obvious cross-overs between the two brands’ audiences, the hot sun a natural place for both, along with ample occasion for a refreshing iced coffee.
As the year’s one big marketing moment, Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE needed to take full advantage of the partnership to get attention on the brand, so we set about packing the 8 week run with tasty content designed to hook fans of the show and taking full advantage of Love Island formats and spin-offs. We created ‘Your type in a cup’ vids to get to know our contestants during ‘isolation’. We promoted and branded ‘First Look’ with our slick campaign look and feel. We created memes from reactive clips or images lifted from the night before to keep the conversation flowing. And we devised a cheeky coffee-pong game between boys and girls ensuring the Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE cups took centre stage while creating the banter.
All of this wrapped in a consistent, tongue-in-cheek tone of voice and playful design style forming the vibrant, visual glue throughout the whole thing.
Our campaign proved to be brilliantly popular with our old and new audiences, so much so, it felt like an extension of ITVs Love Island portfolio - while delivering huge results and uplift in sales for Emmi CAFFÈ LATTE.
